Just like I said yesterday, its hard to get going on one’s goals. That’s why I am writing them down and holding myself publicly accountable. These are top 12 objectives I have for Crazy 88 Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in 2010. Note that they are all easily measurable; nothing vague like “get better at judo takedowns.”
1. Have After-School Martial Arts Transportation program operational by Monday, February 8th.
2. Have 5 students compete in their first Muay Thai smoker bout by year’s end.
3. Be open 24 hours / 7 days per week by year’s end.
4. Have 8 students win their first Adult Blue Belt divisions by year’s end.
5. Have paperwork settled for further expansion (to 9000 sq. ft. minimum) by year’s end.
6. Hold 4 In-House tournaments (one per quarter) to give White Belts as much experience as possible
7. Upload a 12-Month Basics Video Curriculum Online by June.
8. Double Total Student Enrollment by Year’s End.
9. Have 60 After-School Program Students by Year’s End.
10. Have 50 Womens-Only Program Students by Year’s End.
11. Get an Attendance System Working by March 1st.
12. Send a team to the following IBJJF tournaments – Worlds (gi and no-gi), PanAms (gi and no-gi), US Nationals (gi), US Open, Rio International Open / International Masters & Seniors, European Open, Brasileiro. I would like at least 5 individuals to be making their IBJJF debut (thats goal 13, I guess).
I am going to check and update this list every few months to check on my progress. If I fail to accomplish these goals by Jan 1, 2011, I will donate $5000 to the charity of Danny Ives’ choice.
