Andrew has learned through “trials by fire” what works and what doesn’t in competition, with over 250 grappling competition wins including: including three Pan American Jiu-Jitsu Championship medals and 5 Virginia State Judo Championship Gold medals, as well as several super fight titles.

Andrew is still an active BJJ competitor and has evolved into one of the most active Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission-grappling coaches in the country. He also runs the US Grappling tournaments.

He will be going over leglocks in all forms for No-Gi. Heel hooks, calf crushers, Toe-holds, Achilles locks, “twisting mata-leao’s with the foot”, etc…

Jared will be covering his top game, focusing especially on taking the back and finishing your opponent as you pass.  Of course, he will be going over how to properly distribute your weight to defend against sweeps as well (you can see how tough Jared is to sweep in the video below).  We have been focusing heavily on the guard and this is going to be a complete change of pace. 

Like all our seminars, you must RSVP prior to the event.  The admission will be $50 / $45 with all proceeds going to Jared.

I had the pleasure of watching Paul Schreiner compete in Brazil at the World Championships.  He was one of the only Americans to do well when the tournament was still in Brazil.  After that, I got to see him compete at the US Open in Santa Cruz during the Brown/Black Belt Team Challenge.  It’s a team vs. team event where Brown Belts and Black Belts compete against each other.  He submitted both Black Belt opponents although he was still a Brown Belt at the time (video below). 

He plays super-smart, super-technical Jiu-Jitsu.  I highly recommend this seminar to anyone who wants to learn some of the most technical stuff out there from one of America’s best grapplers.
